It took me about 20 years, but I found 700 Bible verses which helped me receive God's answer to some of my most serious questions and problems along my journey.īecause it became confusing to keep track of all the verses, I classified these verses into 48 separate topics - like Hope, Trust, Suffering, Family Relations. But flipping your Bible open hoping the answers you're looking for jump off the page as a sign from God is just a simple game of Bible roulette. You've now learned to ask God specific and direct questions when looking for answers. Take for example the topic of "suffering", and let’s say you're going through a difficult time and you're seeking guidance from God. It turns out the best way to dive into the Bible is to approach reading it topically. They look at the Bible thematically or topically. Other cultures think differently than Westerners. They open the Bible at Genesis and try to read it chronologically, but somewhere after Moses enters the story they get confused and stop reading. Point A leads to point B which leads to point C. Westerners tend to think linearly - like in a straight line. Your Bible is a letter from God-like an email reply to the question on your mind. Imagine your prayer as if you were writing an email to and telling Him exactly what's on your mind. This is not the time to ask God how His day is going. OK, now ask the question you REALLY want God to answer. You get the idea.look for the thing which is always on your mind even after you shut your eyes at night before you fall asleep. Some people might say to think about the thing that’s keeping you awake at night.Īre you struggling with fear? Are you or someone you know facing the challenge of a serious illness? Are your bills piling up and you can't seem to find a way out of your money problems? Are you and your spouse fighting all the time? God showed me that a better approach is to “Think about what you’re thinking about”. And you're like, "Hey God, thanks for the story but that's not really helping right now." It's like, opening the Bible and asking God, "What's up? God might just tell you a story about when He parted the Red Sea for Moses. It's important for you to see that a lot of people try to read the Bible looking for answers to questions they haven't properly formed. and it set my anger free and helped me find peace in my life, and peace for my family.īut before I share with you the system, let me tell you a little bit about myself. There’s a way to read the Bible, a SYSTEM, so you can receive God’s coaching, and knock Satan out of the ring, no matter what fight you're in. If this sounds familiar, I can understand why you feel like that sometimes. maybe you can’t hear God’s answer because Satan is punching you deaf in both ears! Listen to what God is telling you.”īut if you’re in the ring fighting Satan everyday for your life. Some are in a fight to save their marriage, or maybe they’re even dealing with infidelity.Īnd when dealing with these issues most people are just told, “Read your Bible. Some are in a daily fight at their job or they struggle with money. Over the years I've heard similar stories of people who battle Satan.įor some, the fight is about their health. I knew God was in my corner coaching me, but at the time I was a new Christian fighter, and I was taking some skull-crushing blows from Satan. Every step I took in my walk with God, I dragged him around because Satan will never let go if he has a chance.Įvery day was like an MMA or Mixed Martial Arts wrestling match against Satan - who used every dirty trick to knock me out - take me down - and defeat me. Satan had his claws buried deep inside me. Not even my friends.ġ0 years after becoming a Christian and accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, my anger was still a daily fight with Satan for my soul. I used to have a serious problem with mind-numbing anger.
